Yes that’s right an old people’s university! Last week I gave a lecture on the Family GP system in the United Kingdom to over 200 Chinese elders (average age around 70). I think it was the oldest age group I have ever given a lecture to and it was a great experience. No one seemed to fall asleep or not be listening but there were a few people popping out for a frequent toilet stop! Funny enough, check out the label above the urinals that was written in full English below. I think it summed up the whole atmosphere of the place.
What a fantastic idea to build and create a university learning centre for the older generation. Everybody seemed very happy, friendly and most of all busy! I had a walk round the campus and saw classes for music, dance and I even saw four pristine croquet pitches outside for fun and games!
Happy memories.
Keep on learning!
