"Being healthy is all about maintaining your balance as you surf the ever changing waves of life"
Originally from Bath in England, I have been living, working and studying in Asia for the last several years, notably in India, Japan and South China. I am currently based in Zhuhai City (close to Hong Kong and Macau) with my Japanese wife, Miwako, and our four sons, Zachariah, Jasper, Max and Kai.
Having set up and run various companies (some of which succeeded and some of which failed!) I decided several years ago to follow my heart and move back into my favourite fields of science, medicine, technology and education. Having previously graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Genetics and Management from the University of Liverpool (UK) I went onto attain a B.Sc and M.Sc. in Metaphysical Sciences from UMS, California (USA).
In 2011 I completed my Masters Thesis on the Interpretation and Analysis of Human Energy Fields and set up www.ChinaBiofield.com in 2012 – a dedicated English language web platform that aims to provide China expats with realiable and trusted health and wellbeing information, products and services. I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.
During my course, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
But.....what about the REAL me?
I am a friendly, energetic, imaginative person with an infectious enthusiasm for life. I have a wide variety of interests from sports and philosophy to cooking and playing guitar. I am responsible, conscientious and passionate about serving others and I always strive to create a supportive, harmonious and collaborative atmosphere, where everyone’s opinions are considered. I value diversity and am always accepting of different viewpoints and beliefs.
I am always excited about possibilities for positive development, and have a talent for creating innovative solutions to problems facing people. I am driven to help others enhance their lives and realize their potential. I appreciate everyone’s unique contribution to the world, always taking care to treat others with dignity and respect.
Good or bad I am a risk-taker, excited by the unknown and able to adapt easily to dynamic environments. I guess that’s why I now live in China! I really enjoy getting to know people and meeting new friends and I am constantly searching for new ideas and always looking for the next adventure.
